Customizing Your Style Settings
Click Edit Styles to access complete control over every design element in your book. This is the backbone of Lacuna’s customization system.
You Can Customize Everything
Lacuna gives you full control over every visual element in your book. From chapter titles and drop caps to blockquotes and ornamental breaks, you can adjust typography, spacing, alignment, and more for each element independently.
The Edit Styles panel is organized into sections, each controlling a different part of your book’s design. Select any section to reveal all its customization options.
Using the Preview Editor
When you select a customization section, the preview editor highlights that element with a light gray background. This helps you see exactly how much space the element takes up on the page.
This is especially useful for fine-tuning spacing settings. The gray background shows you the true boundaries of each element, so you can adjust padding and margins with precision.
Presets
Most customization sections include presets for common settings like size, spacing, and weight. These give you quick starting points while still allowing full granular control when you need it.
For more on how presets work across Lacuna, see Presets.
