Customizing Your Style Settings
Click Edit Styles to open the menu where you control your book’s book-wide look. Each item opens its own panel, and your changes preview live as you work (see Live Style Changes).
What’s in the Edit Styles Menu
The menu is grouped so related settings sit together:
- Paragraph Styling: Drop Caps, First Line Styling, Justification & Hyphenation
- Spacing: Indentation, Paragraph Spacing
- Notes: Endnote Settings
- Heading Settings: Heading Title, Heading Subtitle, Heading Spacing
- Chapter Settings: Chapter Heading Images, Numbered Chapter Settings
- Parts & Volumes: Book Part Settings, Volume Settings
- Manage: Preset Manager, Import From Other Project
How do I style a blockquote, table, or other element?
Styles for things you place inside your text, like blockquotes, callout boxes, tables, lists, image captions, ornamental breaks, and text conversations, are not in this menu. You style those by selecting the element in the editor, which opens its own panel.
Presets
Most styles can be saved as reusable presets and applied across your book. See Presets, and use Preset Manager in the Edit Styles menu to see where each one is used.
