How to Use Lists

Lists are perfect for organizing information into bulleted or numbered items in your book.

How to Create a List

  1. Position your cursor where you want the list to begin
  2. Click the list icon in your editor toolbar to choose a bulleted or numbered list
  3. Type your list items, pressing Enter to add each new item

Customizing Your List

When you select a list, the inline style panel appears on the left side of the editor. This panel gives you full control over your list’s appearance.

Spacing

  • Outer Spacing — Control the vertical spacing above and below the entire list
  • Indentation — Set the left and right space for list items
  • List Item Spacing — Control the vertical space between each list item

List Style

  • Bullet List Marker — Choose the marker style for unordered lists: Disc, Circle, Square, or None
  • Ordered List Marker — Choose the numbering format for ordered lists: 1 2 3, a b c, A B C, i ii iii, I II III, or None

Using Presets

You can save and reuse list styles with presets. This makes it easy to apply consistent formatting across all lists in your book.

Finding Lists

Use the Elements tab in the section sidebar to find all lists in your book and jump directly to any of them.
