How to Arrange Sections

The sidebar acts as your book’s spine. Drag sections to organize your entire manuscript. For the full set of section actions (duplicating, renaming, deleting, and grouping) see manage book sections.

How to Arrange Sections

1. Click and hold any section in the sidebar
2. Drag to the new position
3. Drop to place it

Automatic Chapter Numbering

When you move numbered chapters, they automatically rename based on their new position in your book.

Selection Methods

Single Selection

Click and drag any section to move it to a new position.

Multi Selection

• Shift+click to select consecutive sections
• Ctrl+click / Cmd+click to select specific sections

Drag any selected section to move the entire group.

Quick Positioning

Right-click any section (or selection of sections) for instant placement:

• Move to Top: Beginning of book
• Move to Bottom: End of book

Auto-Scroll

When dragging sections in lengthy manuscripts, drag to the top or bottom edges to auto-scroll the sidebar.
