How to Add Text Conversations to Your Book
Text conversations display dialogue as chat-style message bubbles, perfect for depicting text messages, chat logs, or any back-and-forth communication.
Converting Text to Messages
Select text and press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + T to convert paragraphs into chat bubbles.
Click any message to access controls:
- To/From Buttons — Switch left/right alignment
- Name Toggle — Add participant names
- Receipt Dropdown — Set delivery status
- Delete — Remove message
Message Types
- Sender — Right-aligned bubbles
- Receiver — Left-aligned bubbles
- Participant — Named messages on either side
Delivery Status
Delivery receipts indicate message status:
- Sending
- Delivered
- Read
- Failed
- None — No indicator
Additional Features
- Drag & Drop — Move conversations or extract individual messages
- Export Compatible — Works in EPUB and PDF formats
