Customize Print Settings for Individual Sections
Every section in your book can override global print settings. Access these settings through the Section Options Menu and select Customize print settings.
Start Page Side
Choose which side of the spread your section begins on:
- Default — Uses your global chapter positioning rules
- Recto — Starts on a right-hand (odd) page
- Verso — Starts on a left-hand (even) page
Invert Colors
Swap black text for white and white backgrounds for black. This only applies to the first page of the section.
Headers & Footers
Override header and footer behavior for this section.

Disable Headers & Footers on All Pages — Completely removes headers and footers from every page in the section.

Preset — Select a different header/footer preset for this section instead of the default.

First Page Settings — Control the first page of the section independently:
- Hide running headers/footers — Remove headers and footers from just the first page
- Show page numbers — Display page numbers even when headers/footers are hidden
Heading Elements Suppression
Hide specific heading elements for this section in print:
- Disable Title in Header — Hides the section title
- Disable Subtitle in Header — Hides the section subtitle
- Disable Image in Header — Hides any header image
Pagination Control
Override the global widows and orphans settings for this section. Use custom values when you need precise control over how paragraph lines break across pages.
