Per-Section Print Settings

Every section in your book can override global print settings to customize its appearance. This is especially useful for front matter and back matter that need different formatting from your main chapters.

Accessing Section Print Settings

Open the options menu for any section to access its print settings. These settings override the global print layout rules for that specific section only.

Start Page Side

Choose whether the section begins on a recto (right-hand) or verso (left-hand) page. This overrides the global chapter positioning rules.

Common uses:

  • Start your copyright page on verso while chapters start on recto
  • Control where dedications and acknowledgments appear
  • Position back matter sections precisely

Suppress Headers and Footers

Hide headers and footers for the entire section. This overrides your global header and footer settings.

Invert Colors

Invert all colors in the section, swapping black text for white and white backgrounds for black. This creates a dramatic dark mode effect for your printed pages.
