Full-Page Image Section Type

Adding a Full-Page Image

1. Click the Add New Section(s) button at the bottom left of your navigation
2. Select Full-Page Image
3. Upload a new image or select one from your image gallery

Supported formats: PNG, JPEG, or WebP.

Print Resolution

For print, there’s a required PPI (pixels per inch) based on your trim size. Lacuna shows the suggested pixel dimensions on the page—follow those for best results. JPEG is recommended; transparent images can sometimes cause issues.

Custom Title Pages

If you don’t want to use Lacuna’s Title Page Designer, you can create your own using a full-page image. This gives you complete control over your title page design and ensures consistency across all output formats.

Image Gallery

You can upload new images or select images you’ve already uploaded from the image gallery.

Print Fill Type

Choose how the image extends on the printed page:

• Safe Zone — Image stays within the printable area, ensuring nothing gets cut off during trimming
• Full Bleed — Image extends to all page edges with no border. Requires extra margin for trimming (see KDP bleed requirements)

Image Scale

Choose how the image scales within the page:

• Fit — Scales to fit within the page, may leave margins
• Fill — Scales to fill the page, may crop edges
• Stretch — Stretches to fill exactly, may distort
