Lacuna automatically tracks your project changes and provides clear visual feedback about when you need to save your work. The header displays save status indicators that keep you informed about unsaved changes and recent saves.

Saving Your Work
You have multiple options for saving your project:
Save Project Button
Click the Save Project button in the header for quick access to saving functionality.
File Menu Options
- File → Save - Save your current project
- File → Save As - Save with a new name or location
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl+S - Save your project
- Ctrl+Shift+S - Save as (new name/location)
Autosave
Lacuna includes autosave functionality that automatically saves your work at regular intervals. You can choose from multiple time intervals to match your workflow preferences.
Autosave settings are saved per project, not globally. This means each book can have autosave enabled or disabled independently, allowing you to customize the behavior for different projects.
These visual indicators and multiple save options ensure you never lose your formatting work and always know the current state of your project.
